Privacy Policy for RoastNote

RoastNote is a coffee roasting log app developed by Mao Nabeta.

This Privacy Policy explains what data RoastNote uses, how it is used, and how in-app purchases are handled.

Summary

RoastNote stores roast records locally on your device and can sync them across your devices using Apple iCloud and CloudKit.
RoastNote does not operate a developer-run server for storing or syncing your roast data.
RoastNote does not include third-party analytics or ad SDKs.
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit.

Data Stored by the App

RoastNote stores the following data on your device. When iCloud is enabled, supported roast data may also be synced through Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud account:

Bean information (for example: name, origin, variety, process)
Roast session records (for example: time, crack events, weights, notes, flavor tags)
App settings (for example: DTR target and related preferences)

This on-device storage and optional iCloud sync are used only to provide app features (recording, viewing, and managing your roast logs across your devices).

RoastNote does not sell your personal data.

RoastNote does not send your roast logs to a developer-operated server. Supported data may sync through Apple iCloud/CloudKit when enabled by the user.

RoastNote does not use third-party advertising or behavior-tracking SDKs.

Subscriptions and Payments

RoastNote offers an optional subscription.

Purchases, renewals, billing, and receipt handling are performed by Apple.
RoastNote uses Apple StoreKit APIs to read subscription product information and entitlement status.
Payment information is not processed or stored by the developer.

Data Retention and Deletion

Roast data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. If iCloud sync is enabled, supported synced data may also remain in your private iCloud account until removed through the app or your iCloud data is deleted.

Children’s Privacy

RoastNote is not directed to children under 13, and no intentional collection of children’s personal data is performed by the developer.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
